1. Define
First of all, I visited the website and analyzed current issues and errorrs. Overall, Leyda’s café website looks very poor and it does not mobile optimized. Next, I listed 4 different pain points from the customer point of view.
2. Empathize
It is important to understand users to make a great website, so, I gathered data and then developed a persona that is similar to target audiences. Otherwise, I created a journey map as well to better understand the process that the ideal users follow until they get what they want to from the website or not.
– User Archetypes
Based on the data and with general ideas, it was defined that the Layda’s brunch cafe users:
- are young working proffessional
- are aged 22 to 29
- earn $50k-$200k
- dine out at least three times a week
- are food enthusiasts
– Journey mapping
To better understand the process that the ideal users follow until they get what they want to from the website or not, so I created a journey map.
1. Consider near by brunch reataurants
2. Visit several websites, Blogging
3. Want to see menu and how restaurant look like
4. Check restaurant hours and make reservation
5. Visit restaurant and order food
6. Evaluate the restaurant and write review
3. Ideation
After I gathered all information, I started to work on redesigning the website. I started brainstorming on paper first. I mainly focused on home, menu, and reservation system pages.
4. Design
Hi-Fi prototype
These high fidelity prototypes are focused on the pain points that I pointed out earlier. Go to this link and try how these are working!
